Notting Hill Carnival has been photographed for generations, but Carnival of Resistance looks beyond the spectacle to explore the people, traditions and quieter moments that continue to shape it. Over the past fifteen years, we have documented Carnival from Panorama to J'ouvert, Mas to sound systems, creating a contemporary visual record of Carnival as it is lived today. These photographs are not simply about what Carnival looks like.
They are about what Carnival means.
