At the centre of the frame, a young man closes his eyes and raises his hands towards his face. Around him, bodies press into the edges of the photograph, while an opening in the crowd reveals the sky above. That combination of closeness and space creates an unexpected sense of intimacy: a private moment unfolding in one of London’s most public celebrations.
